He also won national men’s doubles title and was a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Davis cup team in 2003.  Rodney believes, as tennis is concerned, coaches can help their students to improve their technique and tactical thinking. They can teach them everything they know, so that when they are on court they know what to do. If all goes well, the student will take what they have learned and properly apply it on the court. Tennis matches encourage us to constantly evaluate our own strengths and weaknesses, which leads to a self-awareness that serves us well in our everyday lives as well as on the court.
