Timo Siebert, Director of Tennis


Training Experience: Timo took over the duties and responsibilities as Director of all Bosse Sports Tennis programs. Prior to his new position, Timo was the Director of Tournament Training for two years. In addition to his experience with Bosse Sports, Timo was the Director of Junior Development and Head Tennis Professional at the I’ON Club in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina from 2005 to 2009. Timo also coached WTA player Alexandra Stevenson in the summer of 2009 and continues to work all levels of tennis from adults to highly ranked national junior players. He was the Assistant coach of Charleston Southern Girls Tennis Team from 2010-2011 and led the U14 New England Zonals Team to a Gold Medal in 2011.

Background: A native of Bremen, Germany, Timo attended the College of Charleston South Carolina where he captained and played #1 singles and doubles. In 2003 he was selected as the Most Outstanding Player for the Southern Conference. In the ATP World Tour he has career high rankings of 1,156 for singles and 1,459 for doubles. He was also a member of Bundesliga Bremerhavener Tennisverein von 1905 e.V. in Germany, one of the top tennis leagues in Germany and competed against ATP players ranked in the top 200. Timo believes that in order to become a great tennis player it is important to give the students technical, physical and mental instruction. Depending on age and ability of the player, Timo customizes his instruction style to help achieve the players’ maximum potential. Building a personal relationship between coach and player is the key for long-term success. Tennis should always be fun – It is a lifetime sport.

Jared Flick, Director of Tournament Training

Training Experience: Jared has been coaching since 2001.He has coaching experience starting with the earliest stages up to the professional level. Created a full time tournament program with 8 players from 2013-2015. In these two years the players improved 4,000 national ranking positions, earned two #1 sectional ranking spots,three national championships, two national runner ups, and a 3rd place at a national tournament. In this time frame four players broke inside the top 100 in the US, one inside the top 30, and one top 10. Jared has the unique experience of starting a player at the very beginning stages and developing them into a top national competitor. While in Midland, the local high school team (Midland Dow) trained in their tournament training program. Over the course of 6 years Midland Dow won 5 team state titles and produced over 29 individual state champions.

Background: “What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving your goals”. Jared believes in realistic goal setting accomplished by hard work and proper planning. Creating a positive environment that focuses on fundamentals, discipline, and sportsmanship are the keys to helping players reach their full potential.  Jared grew up in Midwest playing both soccer and tennis. National level junior. Collegiate all American for top 10 ranked Aquinas College. Competed in both soccer and tennis at the collegiate level.

Professional Career: Started Playing at the age of 5 at local sports center and progressed through the LTA Junior Tennis System at the local tennis center in Caernarfon, North Wales. Played Junior circuit around Wales and Untied Kingdom in Under 10 – Under 18. An intern at John Newcome Tennis Ranch, Texas Jan – June 2002 as allayer/coach for their academy program. Represented North Wales County Team for both Juniors and Adult teams from 1999-2003. Played College Tennis for UWIC from 2002-2005.

Coaching Experience: Started coaching at the age of 16 at local tennis club in Caernarfon, North Wales, coaching Saturday morning kids tennis for ages 5-10 as an assistant coach. Following the completion of DCA (Development Coach Award June – December 2001) I embarked on a 6 month Internship at John Newcombe tennis Ranch, Texas (2002) coaching the academy players and adults before coaching at the Mackintosh Tennis Club (Cardiff, Wales) whilst in college from 2002-2005. In 2005 I was made Program Director at The Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne FL and was in charge of the Junior Academy from September 2005 – July 2006. Following my time in FL I was made Director of Junior Development at Bosse Sports to this present day.

Jacob Zapatka

Director of Junior Development

Recent News: On May 3rd, 2019 Jacob was recognized as the United States Professional Tennis Association/New England’s U30 Professional of the Year. Each year the United States Professional Tennis Association recognizes one division member under the age of 30 who, through their tennis teaching and volunteer spirit, has increased opportunities for others to participate in tennis. Appointed in February of 2019 as the U30 Liaison for USPTA New England, Mr. Zapatka continues to see an increasing number of millennials and young adults that are taking part in more USPTA sponsored social tennis opportunities. Jacob’s teaching philosophy is “hard work beats talent only if talent doesn’t work hard.”

Background: Jacob Zapatka comes to Bosse Sports from Stamford, CT with a high level of coaching experience. His knowledge of junior development is exceptional, but he has also worked with high performance players, adults and USTA teams (2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0). Jacob is a certified USPTA Elite Professional, USPTR 10 and Under Professional and USPTR 11-17 Professional. In high school, he was ranked as high as #14 in Connecticut and #39 in New England. He went on to Nichols College where he gained All Conference and All Academic honors, winning four Central Coast Conference Championships as well as competing in four NCAA Division III tournaments. Jacob’s prior experience as a teaching professional includes work at Weston Racquet Club in Weston, CT, Grand Slam Tennis Club in Bedford, NY as well as the City of New Britain, CT. When on the court, Jacob is determined to help athletes reach their full potential by understanding the importance of proper movement and mental and psychological fundamentals. His skill and expertise in working with 12 and under tennis players is one of his greatest assets.

Steve Prisco, Tennis Pro

Training Experience:  Steve Prisco is a certified USPTA Professional with extensive teaching and coaching experience. Steve spent the last 20 years as the Assistant Head Tennis Professional at Pine Brook Country Club in Weston as well as 13 of those summers at Oyster Harbors Country Club in Osterville. Steven’s strength is his ability to teach and coach all levels and ages. His dynamic personality, high level athleticism and extensive tennis knowledge lend to his success on the court in meeting the needs of his clients.

Background: Prior to his professional career Steve received a full scholarship from Division 1 UMASS where is served as Team Captain of the Men’s Tennis team and played #1 singles and doubles for all four years. He qualified as a single player for the International Tennis Association Tournament all four years and was named to the Atlantic 10 All Conference for three years.  In his early years, Steve played number 1 singles and doubles for St Sebastian’s High School while serving as Captain all four years. He was All Scholastic Magazine # 1 Massachusetts Male Player of the Year and was recognized at Fleet Center Boston as well as being selected as a Boston Globe All Scholastic Player of the Year. Steve was unbeaten in all four years of his high school career with a record of 107-0-7.

Anders Lundberg, Tennis Pro

Training Experience: “My teaching has always been based on having the right technique and correct footwork, which is the two most important ingredients in this sport, Also leave the court with a soaking shirt an evidence that you put some effort into it.”

From 1994 – 2007 Anders was the Head Professional at Falköpings Tennis Club, Sweden. Coaching many top juniors at the National level, (Stefan Edberg) ranked 1# in the world. From 2007-2013 Anders was with Bosse sports as a Tennis Pro and during the summers from 2000-2012 was Head Professional at New England Tennis Holidays, North Conway, NH and Burlington, VT, NETH was has been rated #1 tennis camp in the world since 2001 by Tennis Resorts Online. Adult camps for 5-days duration & weekends from June thru September. Prior to coming back to Bosse sports, Anders was Teaching at Wightman Tennis Center in Weston, second summer for me at Longwood Cricket Club, first summer at Windsor Club in Waban (Newton).

Background: A native of Falkoping, Sweden, Anders traveled to the United States where he studied at Pan American University in Texas. Anders held the #1 ranking in Sweden in three different age divisions, 35, 40 and 45. As a junior he was ranked among the top ten players in Sweden. Played actively doubles and single tournaments such as USTA and New England Sectionals, was finalist in 2012 ( Irving Karg Cup).

Training Experience:  Matt’s coaching philosophy is based upon an approach that includes individualized skill and performance development, along with fitness, strength and conditioning training, with a health and nutritional focus.

Background: Matt was twice selected to the Michigan High School Class A all-state tennis team, and has played both division 1 & 2 college tennis at Northwood University, MI and Oral Roberts University, OK respectively. His college major was Health and Exercise Science. He is also an active tennis player in the ITF and USTA Professional Tennis Circuits.

Danielle Monteith,

Background: Originally from London, England, Danielle played for the county of Surrey from age 9 to 11. At age 11 Danielle moved to Jamaica and continued to compete in tournaments both locally and internationally. After a year of intense training, competition, and winning a lot of tournaments she was seeded #1 in the country. Danielle was then offered a spot on the Jamaican National Tennis Team. She represented Jamaica from age of thirteen and still does to this day; she is currently on the Jamaican Fed Cup team. While playing for Jamaica as a top junior Danielle traveled worldwide competing in ITF tournaments, team tournaments (for Jamaica), and the Orange Bowl. During this time Danielle reached an all time high ranking of top hundred in the world and played on the WTA tour. At age 19 Danielle went on to play Division 1 and NAIA collegiate tennis. While playing Danielle received the Walt Attaway award, NAIA freshman of the year, NAIA sportsmanship award, NAIA player of the week on numerous occasions, top national ranking individually and as a team in both singles (#21) and doubles (#16). Danielle graduated in May 2011 and went on to continue coaching and traveling around the world with top juniors from the South.

Ryan Varilek, Assistant Director of TTP

Training Experience: Ryan has taken over the role as Assistant Director of TTP as of 2017. He is UPTR certified in all junior development categories, including High Performance, 10 & Under, and 11-17 age groups. From 2013-2016 Ryan was the director of a junior development program in Midland, MI where he developed multiple ranked juniors. Ryan has worked closely with all of our performance level players since his arrival here in 2016. Ryan has experience coaching over seas where he coached some of Bosse’s very own players through ITF tournaments in Spain & Portugal.

Background: Ryan grew up in Midland, MI where he grew up training at the Greater Midland Tennis Center since he was 7 years old. Ryan was a top level junior in the state of Michigan and competed at the highest level of junior tournaments all over the Midwest and some national tournaments as well. In 2010 Ryan was a quarter-finalist in the Michigan state championships at #1 singles. Ryan was also a semi-finalist in the Midwest US Open Qualifier in 2015. Ryan attended Central Michigan University where he received a degree in Sports Business and started his coaching career.

Brian Pindura, Tennis Pro

Training Experience: Brian has more than 15 years of teaching experience, and has been a Tennis Pro at Bosse Sports since 2009. Brian works with Tennis Players at all levels from beginners to advanced players. Before moving to the United States from Zimbabwe, Brian was the Provincial Head Pro of the Mantas tennis academy in Zimbabwe, which is known for producing the top junior players in the country. Brian was also the national touring pro for Zimbabwe national junior teams and ITF junior teams in southern Africa. Brian has worked with the national junior Davis cup teams as an assistant pro during his coaching carrier in Zimbabwe.  He has also worked with ATP tour player as a junior, Takanyi Garanganga who is currently ranked top 300 in the world.

Background: Originally from Zimbabwe, Brian started playing tennis at the age of 9. Brian played at the national level for the Zimbabwe national junior team. Brian then attended Africa University in Zimbabwe and was captain of the Tennis team. He played in many ITF tournaments but then decided to go straight into coaching.  Brian worked at Julian Krinsky Tennis Camp, one of the biggest summer tennis camps in the United States for 2 years where he gained a lot of experience working with junior tennis players. Brian believes a tennis player can be as great as they want to be, but only if they believe in themselves, have courage, determination and dedication.  Good technique and foot work are just a few of the aspects Brian likes to focus on when teaching. He is known as “Coach Fun” to many of his students.

Jason Walsh, Tennis Pro

Training experience: Jason has been teaching and coaching tennis for over 15 years at various Tennis Clubs in Michigan. Most recently Greater Midland Tennis Center in Midland MI and currently LHC in Harbor Springs MI. He continually teaches and coaches all levels of players, from 10 and under programs and beginner adults; all the way up to college and high performance players and adult league and competitive players. Other than tennis, Jason also enjoy playing pool, golf, video games, and watching movies.

Background: Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jason started playing tennis at 11 years old where he was able to earn national ranking as a junior.  Jason achieved All State selection in 2001 from Grandville High School. He went on to compete on scholarship at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids MI from 2001-2005. Jason Was individually ranked as high as #38 in the country in singles and #25 in doubles. Over a four year career Jason won a total of 194 matches. He Graduated with a Bachelors of Science, Majoring in Geography.

Alek Davila, Tennis Pro


Training Experience: During his four years at Indiana, he was a coach for the Indiana University Tennis Center’s Junior Competitive Tennis Program and also served as a coach for the IU Hoosier Boys and Girls Summer Tennis Camps. Alek went on to obtain his M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College in the Spring ’18, and is currently getting his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College.

Background: Growing up in Midland, Michigan, Alek Davila began his tennis journey at the age of four and began playing competitively at the age of eight. He led his H.H. Midland Dow High School Tennis Team to two Division II State and Regional titles, posting an undefeated 35-0 singles record at two singles in his junior campaign. He was named a FOX 66 American Pie Player of the week and became a member of the Mid-Michigan Fall Sports Dream Team. In U.S.T.A. Junior Tennis, he was ranked in the top 10 in Michigan for both Boy’s 18s and 16s. He was ranked in the top 40 in Midwest Boy’s 18s and top 15 in Midwest Boy’s 16s, as well as top 150 nationally in Boy’s 16s. He then played NCAA Division I tennis at Indiana University, a team ranked as high as 23rd in the country. He finished his playing career with a 12-15 singles record and 7-9 doubles record. He was a three time All Big-Ten Academic Honoree, ITA Scholar Athlete, Hoosier Award Recipient, and graduated with honors in Spring ‘16 with his B.A. in Psychology.
